Darkside of Soul son la Barcelona de finales de los noventa, y su legado es un capítulo, humilde y honesto, de la historia más subterránea y Punk de ese momento y esa ciudad. Darkside of Soul eran oscuros y ruidosos, escuchaban Screamo y otras muchas músicas mirando al underground europeo y norteamericano del momento, mezclaban Hardcore chillón con emotividad  politizada, y su épica de barrio obrero sonaba urgente y desesperada. Ética DIY inquebrantable, rabia juvenil, intensidad incansable y muchas ganas de  gritar verdades; Darkside of Soul fueron un breve y entrañable destello en la escena Hardcore Punk nacional que, insisto, vale la pena recordar.

This album documents a tiny, brilliant fragment of an era worth remembering. Listening to these songs allows us to travel back to a time when things were done differently than we’re used to today; with heart and soul, voices ready to burst. Darkside of Soul are the Barcelona of the late nineties, and their legacy is a humble and honest chapter in the underground, punk history of that time and city. Darkside of Soul were dark and noisy, listening to Screamo and many other genres, looking to the European and North American underground of the time. They mixed screeching hardcore with politicized emotion, and their working-class epic sounded urgent and desperate. Unwavering DIY ethics, youthful rage, tireless intensity, and a burning desire to shout truths; Darkside of Soul were a brief and endearing spark in the Barcelona hardcore punk scene that, I insist, is worth remembering.
