Se cumplen 20 años del lanzamiento del “Bipartite” de Aina, una ocasión excelente para reeditarlo en vinilo tras muchísimos años tiempo agotado. Sin duda, Aina fueron la mejor banda de post-hardcore de este país. Traspasaron fronteras y cosecharon excelentes críticas en todas partes y, seguramente, más allá de las preferencias personales de cada uno, “Bipartite” es su mejor disco, el más maduro, el que tiene un sonido más personal. Sin dejar atrás la herencia del sonido DC (Bluetip, Jawbox…) aquí metieron en la coctelera influencias del ROCK con mayúsculas (ACDC, Rocket From The Crypt…) y les salió algo realmente único y especial.

– There was only one way to continue their acclaimed first album: doubling down the riff-driven rock that looks to the past (AC/DC, Cheap Trick), to the present (Rocket From The Crypt, Mega City Four) and to the future (Queens of The Stone Age).
– First and still the only album by a Spanish band recorded at the Inner Ear studios in Washington DC –where Fugazi tracked all their albums–, produced by Jay Robbins, possibly the most important producer on the North American underground scene, leader of Jawbox and Burning Airlines, and architect of the sound of Texas is the Reason, Jawbreaker, Jets To Brazil or Against Me!
– European and US tours were longer and more successful, opening for Metallica, At The Drive-In or Queens of the Stone Age.
– Bipartite contains one of the biggest hits of their career, ‘Luton Can Wait’, a song that also appeared on a 7” shared with The (Capitol City) Dusters in 1999, released by Dischord Records, making Aina the only Spanish band ever to be released in Fugazi’s Ian MacKaye label.
